Discovery lands to end first post Challenger flight at Edwards
The shuttle Discovery touched down at Edwards Air Force Base California at 9 37 am PDT closing the first American manned mission since Challenger. Skipper Frederick Hauck and co pilot Richard Covey led a 64 orbit 1.7 million mile odyssey with 11 mostly automatic experiments.
