Just Say No parade draws about 3000 in Lee County
Telegraph staff writers report the Just Say No parade drew an estimated 3,000 students from across Lee County to march and carry the anti drug and alcohol message. Police chief Robert Short called it a great success as area departments and sponsors aided weeklong activities ending with autographs from Packers and Bears players. The organizers credited community groups, churches, schools, and businesses for support and noted future plans to continue the program countywide.
