The Dixon High School Choral Department stages The Happening on Tuesday at 7 30 p.m. in the auditorium replacing the spring musical. About 160 students from robed and treble choirs girls and boys choruses and the jazz show choir perform in a pop music revue with costuming staging lighting and dances. Highlights include Let Freedom Ring God Bless the USA Happy Together The Wind Beneath My Wings and One Moment in Time. Tickets cost 2 50 for adults 1 for students at the door starting 7 p.m.

Assistant State's Attorney Ronald Jacobson filed a petition to revoke or modify the 18 month periodic imprisonment of Diane Burmeister 38 Dixon for cocaine delivery to undercover agents in March 1988 under the work release rule she must not drink. A breath test April 21 showed .05 percent. A hearing date has not been set. Magdich also reviews Burmeister's bid for sentence reduction arguing it was harsher than peers in the May 1988 multi county drug raid. In a separate case Judge Martin Hill made permanent an injunction over a Franklin Grove dog named Buster owned by Ronald Klavenga ordering him to restrain the animal after it bit two people including a child. The owner was not present. The petition cites the dog biting Lucas Floto and Margaret Burhenn and medical treatment followed.
