SVCC 23rd Commencement Draws 110 Graduates

Children Fire Safety House planned for Dixon area

Dixon Lions Club will host Pancakes in the Park on June 4 at Lowell Park to raise funds for a two story Children’s Fire Safety House for the Dixon Fire Department. Fire Chief James Hill describes a 20 minute classroom lesson followed by a live drill inside a mobile home with smoke to teach exit strategies and escape plans for students from kindergarten through fourth grade. Six Dixon firefighters have been trained to teach others how to use the safety house.
