Dixon Park Board Plans Heightened Petunia Festival Security
The Dixon Park District Board approved two uniformed officers and eight to ten additional security personnel for the Petunia Festival beer garden from 6 to 10 p.m. to counter sheriff deputy availability issues. Security staff will be selected by Dixon Police and trained in crowd control. The board also reviewed next year’s tentative budget and awarded a $1,500 oil and chip driveway contract to Allen Blacktop for the new park district office.
