Wholesale prices rise 1 percent in February in UPI report
The Labor Department said February wholesale prices jumped 1 percent matching January, driving the year’s wholesale inflation to 12.6 percent. Food and energy led gains with fresh and dried vegetables up 35.3 percent, natural gas up 1.9 percent and gasoline 4.1 percent, while raw materials eased 0.1 percent after January’s spike.
