Single lane closures traffic control signs barricades arrow boards and flagmen. Contractor Proprietor Construction Company of Sterling on a 2 793 000 contract. Completion expected early spring 1990.
Police logs describe several accidents in Dixon. Bill Thompson, 34, backing from a Crawford Avenue driveway, hit a parked car owned by Francis Lemme and left the scene, receiving a ticket for improper backing. Kimberly Logan, 23, was rear-ended on W Everett Street by Jennifer Lutyens, 16, with Lutyens cited for failure to reduce speed. Eleanor Komay, 55, backed into a parked motorcycle while on Page Drive. no tickets issued. Michelle Frey, 33, and Stephen Kingry, 56, collided at College and Second Street. Kingry cited for failure to yield. No injuries reported.

Thomas Burke 43 Rockview Rd charged with DUI held on $300 bond. Michael Bruce 25 Lanewood burglary held in Lee County Jail.
Elsie H Bragg 67 of 1457 Ottawa Ave died June 29 1989 at Ottawa Community Hospital. She worked four years at LOF Glass and also Burns Security. Born July 20 1921 in Hooppole daughter of Michael and Amelia Stahl she married Estelle Fenwick in 1941 and Forrest Bragg in 1946 both preceded her in death. Survived by four daughters six grandchildren and six great grandchildren with siblings and a host of relatives. Funeral arrangements set for noon Saturday at Ottawa Funeral Home with burial in Restland Cemetery Mendota. Memorials to the First Congregational Church in Marseilles.
