Northern Illinois Cancer Center reaches $1M in gifts but short of goal
Donors including KSB Hospital and CGH Medical Center pledge $400,000 toward the 1.7 million project while clubs and residents have raised over 1 million toward the 1.3 million target. Officials urge a grassroots push before completion set for August 1 as radiation services would aid about 250 patients yearly, reducing the need to travel to other cities.
