Dixon Man Gets Eight Years For Cocaine Possession
Robert Janacek, 38, of 616 Ottawa Ave in Dixon, was sentenced to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to cocaine possession in DeKalb County Circuit Court. Police arrested him April 2 after responding to a harassment report at a residential complex and found about 100 grams of cocaine and $11,000 cash in his car. He was free on an $18,000 appeal bond from a 1988 conspiracy to deliver cocaine case in Lee County, where a 30 month probation sentence was imposed last year. A decision on probation revocation is pending.
