Pilot radioed for help as DC-10 crash raised hydraulic doubt

NTSB officials in Sioux City said the United Airlines DC-10 reported all three hydraulic systems failed before crashing with 295 aboard. A lack of written procedures for triple hydraulic failure was noted while investigators awaited cockpit transcript.

Drawings released of bank robbery suspect

Dixon Police released composite sketches of a white male suspect aged 20 to 30, about six feet tall with brown hair, seen at First Bank on Dixon's southside drive-up Friday morning. He wore a white pocketed T shirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and carried a Hardee's bag. He threatened a Molotov style blast until tellers handed over cash. Police urged witnesses near 10:50 a.m. to contact 288-4411.
