Ashton OKs 2 percent pay rise for village staff
The Village of Ashton approved an average 2 percent raise for its four full time employees, saying the increase is smaller than last year but wages are higher than similar communities. The board discussed limiting life and health coverage for Dennis Bartels to himself, and considered monthly bills for water, sewer, and garbage. They also noted ongoing rust issues in some residents’ water systems.
