Lee County Judge Imposes Probation For Marijuana Charge
Lee County Circuit Court Judge Tomas Magdich sentenced Rockford man Brett Askergaard to 30 months probation and 90 days in the Lee County jail on a marijuana safe charge after a guilty plea. Askergaard, 17, faced related drug allegations from last year including sales to an undercover officer on Feb 28 and March 13. He also must pay fines and restitution and undergo a drug evaluation. Separately, Hans Seible, 22, was given two years probation for criminal damage to property and had prior probation revoked, with additional jail time and an order to pay $1,829 to the sheriff. Brian Cheshier, 19, received three years probation after pleading guilty to burglary and was ordered to pay restitution and costs. A birthday congratulatory note for Carole Houck appeared.
