Ewing dominates Clippers in MSG thriller

Dolphins owner Joe Robbie dies at 73 in Miami

Joe Robbie, founder and longtime owner of the Miami Dolphins, died Sunday at age 73 in a Miami area hospital. Born in 1916 in Sisseton, South Dakota, he led the franchise from its AFL origins in 1965, hired Don Shula, and secured peak success including the 1972 perfect season and multiple AFC titles. His family remains involved, with three of his 11 children employed by the team and his widow Elizabeth serving as vice president.
