Rochelle church names new minister to lead St. Paul Lutheran
Gerald D. Matzke 43, associate pastor at St. Peter Church Hemlock Michigan, will be installed as full time pastor at Rochelle's St. Paul Lutheran Church after a 16 month search. He was assistant pastor 1981 to 1988, taught in Lutheran schools, and holds degrees from Concordia Theological Seminary and Concordia College. He plans some religion teaching at the school and aims to grow the congregation as Rochelle expands toward Chicago's suburbs. He and wife Susan have a son, Mark.
