NBC Dominates February Sweeps With Half Top 10 Appearances
NBC led the ratings week starting February sweeps with half of the top 10 programs. Roseanne topped at 24.1, Cheers 22.7, Cosby Show 22.4, Golden Girls 21.5, while CBS 60 Minutes held fifth at 21.3 and NBC's Empty Nest sixth at 20.0. Rock singer Billy Idol injured in motorcycle crash
Los Angeles AP Billy Idol, 34, just finished an album titled Charmed Life, ran a stop sign and collided with a car while riding a Harley. He suffered serious leg and arm fractures, cuts on the head, and was in Cedars Sinai Medical Center after seven hours of surgery in serious but stable condition. Idol will receive a citation for failure to obey a stop sign. the car driver was uninjured.

Helmsley denies cruel tax quote in interview
Leona Helmsley says she never told a housekeeper only the little people pay taxes and predicts no prison time after her August conviction.
