Swapp clan members convicted in Utah siege shooting
Three Swapp family members faced trial after a 13 day standoff in the Wasatch Mountains near Salt Lake City. Lee was convicted of manslaughter for the death of state Corrections Lt. Fred House. Addam Swapp was found guilty of manslaughter. Jonathan Swapp received negligent homicide. The case follows a January gunfight that ended the siege and included related federal bombing and attempted murder charges. Prosecutors said Singer fired the fatal shot, while Swapp’s family connections link the defendants to the broader bombing and federal charges.
