Lee County residents can apply for a federal grant of 22,144 to cover one month of utilities or rent for those facing gas or electric cuts or eviction. Administered by FEMA with United Way as fiscal agent, the program lasts one year. L A woman ordered back to Illinois in theft case
Marilyn Dakis and her husband George faced charges of theft by deception for deceiving about a dozen Rochelle area businesses in 1984. Rochelle police investigated criminal damage to two men's restrooms at Hickory Grove with four wall partitions broken between Friday midnight and Tuesday morning. Hub City Cleaners at 519 Lincoln Ave was burglarized Tuesday night, with cheeses and a sleeping bag stolen after a burglar removed a panel from an overhead door before 6:28 a.m.

City of Dixon Named in Four-Defendant Lawsuit
Dixie Cyphers of Dixon files what she calls a civil action in Lee County Circuit Court seeking 14 500 from four defendants including the City of Dixon and Rock River Cartage over a November 13 1987 crash on Woodlawn Road.
