Lesson in card placing and declarer play in no trump
James Jacoby explains a bridge scenario where West leads into declarer's four card spade suit, the East queen of spades appears, and the declarer must assume card combinations. By rising with dummy's ace and then playing hearts, declarer protects against West having five spades and secures the game contract. The piece notes Jacoby books available from Pharos Books 1989.
