Mt Morris High School boys basketball, led by Mark Hickman with 20 points on 9 of 13 shooting and 9 assists from Dietrich, beat Forreston to move to 2-0 in conference and 3-4 overall while Cardinal fall to 0-2. Byron routed Polo 62-46 as Soltow and Mumford led Polo with 17 and 11 points respectively. Winnebago stayed undefeated at 6-0 with a 53-33 win over Oregon, Westlake top scorer with 14 points and Larkins leading Oregon with 10 as the Indians seized a 16-8 lead and pulled away.
