Bush to unveil drug plan with Colombia aid

Amboy soldier finally added to Civil War memorial wall
Amboy City Clerk Darlene Hinkle ensured her great great grandfather Charles Evitts became the first Civil War veteran named on the Old Lee County Courthouse memorial wall. Evitts, born in Lee Center, served in Company C of the Seventh Illinois Cavalry from 1864 to 1872 and fought in key campaigns before dying of tuberculosis in Colorado in 1874.
