Voyager 2 neptune bowshock flyby photos up close
Voyager 2 sailed through Neptune’s bowshock boundary as it captured dramatic images of the Great Dark Spot. Engineers at JPL announced the craft crossed the shock late Wednesday and prepared to perform a 3,000 mile north polar flyby at 10:56 p.m. CDT on the 12 year mission.
