Checks totaling 9000 were sent to Alta Sant week for hop growers via the Pacific Coast Hop Stabilisation Corporation on behalf of the Commodity Credit Association. All 1938 hops are polled with over 40,000 bales in the three Pacific coast states. January 31 is the polling deadline. The market has firmed with 1800 dates selling at 21 cents per pound. CCC advances are non recourse and guarantee 20 cents per pound on prime hops.
