Supervisor Simpson and forestry officials visited Elkhorn Springs to plan an improvement program for the plunge and camp grounds. The forest service aims to repaint facilities, waterproof the shoreline, install new piping, stoves, benches, and tables, and launch a cleanup to enhance the site’s appeal after summer revenue reached about 500 dollars.

The quarterly meeting of Legion men and Legion auxiliary members in the mining district will gather at Twin Bridges on September 19 and 20.
