Why a New School Building in Beaverhead County

Beaverhead county voters face a September 30 bond vote for 1650000 county share of an 8000000 high school project. The PWA grants 135000, 55 percent of cost, require immediate action to secure funds before October 1. The current two building system is crowded, unsafe, and costly, with 1901 main and 1913 annex buildings housing nearly 300 students. A new high school would improve fire safety, lighting, ventilation, and instructional capacity, funded by a county bond with 40 percent voter turnout required.
