Montana State Normal College Welcomes New Leader
The Montana State Normal College begins its sixteenth year under President J E Monroe former vice president with a strong faculty and expanded training facilities. The campus includes two 34 room buildings a 8000 volume library a 600 seat auditorium and two dormitories housing 120 women. An ungraded rural training department will be added and Friday was a college holiday to attend the county fair. Attendance rose with men up 100 percent. Beaverhead County Fair Opens to Good Attendance and Exhibits
The Beaverhead County Fair opened with favorable weather and strong attendance. Aviator Maroney performed two flights to widespread acclaim while a Helena beat Dillon 5 to 2 in a ball game. Livestock, crops, crafts, and a large mineral and culinary display filled the halls, with a notable 1500-strong crowd on opening day. An accident paused a motorcycle race as racers prepared for a five-mile event.
