Montana selects a county princess to rule as Queen of Montana at the State Fair and compete for Queen of Petrolia in the International Oil Exposition in Tulsa Oklahoma October 2 to 11. Hendricks Captured by U S Marshals in Sheep Creek
Deputy U S Marshal C G Kelsey and agents with Sheriff Dan Mooney arrested Bunk Hendricks in Sheep Creek on a Greenville South Carolina warrant for illicit liquor production and shooting a federal officer. He will be held in Great Falls for a federal filing before transport to Greenville. Hendricks reportedly evaded authorities since arriving here last March with his wife and child who were sent home Tuesday. He taunted the arrest but claimed the prior admonition from the judge. This marks the second South Carolina arrest in the county this year.

Increased Enrollment at Training and Beaverhead High Schools
Both Normal training and Beaverhead county high schools opened for enrollment last Monday morning. Training school registered 587 students, about 15 more than last year, with 221 in primary and 316 in higher grades. New families enrolled. High school counted 221 students this week, up from 208 last year, though last year’s total was 226 with 18 added in the second semester.

Best Ever Pow Wow Shines In Beaverhead County Fair
The tenth annual Beaverhead county fair and powwow closes with widespread acclaim. Normal College Builds New Library and Gymnasium Facilities
The Normal college library will house 40 000 volumes with room to grow and will offer a textbook rental option at 2 dollars per quarter. A new gymnasium with bowling and handball facilities is slated for autumn occupancy, alongside a new heating plant to improve comfort during severe weather. Council Lets Contract for Pipeline Construction
The city council awarded a $17 765 contract to Emanuel Lindstrom of Billings for piping from the Rat tlesnake creek intake to the city reservoir.
