Died at Lima Age 74. Hammond Funeral Held
Barney Hammond died at Lima last week at his daughter Mrs. George E Roe’s home. Funeral services were led by Rev Fathers Foley and Clifford with burial in Lima cemetery. A native of Ireland he was 74 and long a railroad shops foreman. He leaves a wife and four daughters including Mrs Roe of Lima and Mrs Kennedy of Anaconda.

Death of Mrs Nellie Burbank in Pocatello
Mrs Nellie Burbank died at her home after a brief illness in Pocatello. Her body was moved to Dillon for a funeral at 10 o'clock Wednesday at the Catholic Church. Interment followed at Mountain View cemetery. She was the wife of A C Burbank a conductor on the Oregon Short Line and had many friends in Dillon who she frequently visited.

Death of J G Erwin in Los Angeles prompts Dillon funeral
Joseph G. Erwin of Dillon died in Los Angeles California on September 10 after a long illness. His remains will arrive in Dillon tomorrow morning for burial in the afternoon. Born May 18 1855 at West Plant Missouri he lived in the Big Hole basin and ran a hotel before moving to Dillon to run a livery business. Survived by wife five children Burr Myrl D V S F and Josephine.

Sudden Death of Richard Williams at Yellowstone Lodge
Richard Williams known as Dick Williams proprietor of a well known hunting lodge four miles from Yellowstone town died suddenly at his Yellowstone home last Thursday night. Coroner Frank Gray ruled death from apoplexy probably induced by moonshine with no foul play. The body was taken to Bozeman for burial following investigation and arrangements by Undertaker Harland and Deputy Sheriff Pasha.

Funeral to be held Tuesday at Bozeman cemetery
Coroner Gray closed a thorough inquiry into the death of a 61 year old brother-in-law who ran a hunters and tourists lodge on the Gallatin national reserve near Black Sand Hill. Witness Mrs Williams said she aided him at the lodge and he spoke of whiskey taken from a friend being good. Authorities seek the man with moonshine and suspect a still near the cabin.

Forest fire near Elk Horn Springs threatens 25 acres
A forest fire about 25 acres near Farley's in the Elk Horn Springs district is fought by twenty men with more likely to be added. It started from brush cleared for a new wagon road and reignited by a gale. Chris Hanson had a near escape when his car dangled on a burned bridge as the flames closed in.
