Lima Fire Destroys Eelipse Cafe Market and Opera House
A major Lima blaze last Sunday gutted the Eelipse cafe the market and the opera house. Fire started in the restaurant and spread to all three buildings despite volunteer effort. Ember flare ups late at night rekindled and the opera house burned to ruins. Insurance reportedly covers about 1 600 dollars. Buildings owned by B C Franks.

Popular Young Man Is Taken by Death
Joe Carroll son of the late Frank Carroll died last Saturday noon at the family home on the east side after a long illness. He was born near Jackson and moved with his family to Dillon in 1906. He graduated from Beaverhead High School in 1913 with honors.

Ralph Tattersall purchased the Variety store on Idaho street from his father RooP Tattersall after 20 years of family operation. The new owner plans a modern merchandise line at moderate prices and will run the business under a fresh policy. A major city fire in the business district, starting in the Beaverhead cafe basement, required a four hour volunteer-firefight, with dense smoke and a challenging layout under the cafe floor.
