Dillon Twin Bridges road project bid set for November
The Montana state highway department will let a bid next month on 3.441 miles of the Dillon Twin Bridges road in Beaverhead county, with the Dillon Chamber of Commerce and road boosters welcoming the project. Dillon Hereford Sale Draws Stockmen From Across Montana
Stockmen from Montana Idaho and Wyoming travel to Dillon for the Hereford show and sale at the county fairgrounds Sunday and Monday Oct 29 30. 76 registered purebred Herefords owned by leading Montana breeders will be auctioned with top bulls consigned by 25 breeders. Col. Fred Reppert leads the auction Monday afternoon assisted by H B Sager Forrest Bassford and Paul DeVore. The event includes awards plaques cups and cash prizes with a post sale smoking party at Dart's Hall and boxing entertainment by Troy Evans and his battlers from Butte. Reservations are heavy and Dillon is expected to be crowded with visitors.
