Rich Strike Leads in Christie Claim Near Hecla in Bryant District
A Christie claim adjacent to the Hecla in Bryant mining district yields rich silver ore of the Hecla grade. Owned by H J Just Charles Christie and John Haylor the 400 by 800 foot fraction sits west of Hecla with a shaft down 26 feet in solid rock. Ore appears similar to Hecla ore once sold for $2 000 a ton and a mining expert values the claim at $10 000 as discovered. The piece may prove a bonanza reviving the old Heels camp.
