Exposure Hastens Death Of Well Known Resident John Dolan
John Dolan a longtime Dillon resident died at his cabin on the west side after being found in an alley behind the Metlen hotel. He had lain outside all night and died mid morning from exposure compounded by months of ill health. Dolan served as deputy sheriff of Bannack and as a deputy U.S. marshal before later running bars in Dillon. Known as fearless and popular, he spent winters in California before returning to Dillon each spring.

City approves immediate curb parallel parking rule
