John F Bishop Pioneer of Beaverhead Dies at 92
John F Bishop longtime Dillon resident and Beaverhead County pioneer died at his home Friday evening after months of illness. Born March 14 1836 in Warsaw New York he helped found stock sheep driving into Montana and built a famed Beaverhead ranch later active in education and Masonry. He served as first justice of peace and led Montana pioneers Society. survived by wife Jennie F Painter two daughters and two grandchildren. funeral held Tuesday at Masonic hall with burial at Mountain View.

Former Dillon Man Charles Mulaney Dies in Wisconsin
T J Mulaney of this city learned of his brother Charles A Mulaney's death on November 1 at his East Troy Wisconsin home. Charles aged 73 and a half, had suffered six years of illness. He leaves a widow and six children five daughters and one son two brothers Thomas J of this city and William in Montana. He lived in Dillon years ago, farmed and raised stock after returning east until 1915. He served as director of Farm ers Mutual Fire Insurance of Troy and East Troy and was county treasurer from 1896 until death. He chaired the town board and sat on the board of education, showing notable executive ability.

Lima man dies after dog fight assault case rises
Al Snowden a sheep herder is jailed on possible murder charges after Samuel Bates of Lima dies in a Butte hospital from injuries said to come from a fight at the Rube Pierce soft drink parlor on November 20. Snowden pled guilty to first degree assault. post mortem may determine the final charge. Bates, 55, a Lima resident and former Oregon Short Line engineer, left a widow Mary Bates and daughter Jennie Bates.

John F. Bishop of Montana and Dillon passed away November 23 at age 94. Aboard the Normal college executive board from 1905 to 1909, he championed campus improvements and local education. Funeral canceled classes, with 300 plus students registered for winter quarter. regular registration set for December 3. President G W Nash of Yankton College visited Dillon with sister Nina Nash, en route to Portland for health reasons. The Normal College marked its 30th anniversary since its first class graduations 30 years ago. By year end 1928 total graduates reached 1,925 with 125 men and 1,800 women. list of November 28 1928 graduates provided.
