Mantle Favored Over Dixon For Montana Senate
The Dawson County Review urges support for Lee Mantle as United States Senator from Montana, arguing Dixon cannot demand the seat and Mantle is the better seasoned, party stalwart fit. It cites Mantle's long Montana leadership, prior Senate term, and Roosevelt alignment as reasons Montana needs experienced representation.
Mantle Strong In Silver Bow For U.S. Senate Support
The article notes strong backing for Mr. Mantle from Silver Bow county and its delegates, with resolutions urging support for him as senator. Dixon loses Flathead county to the Democrats, while Silver Bow favors Mantle in the legislature and as the state’s leading industrial center pushes for his U.S. Senate seat. Dawson has one representative. Silver Bow has twelve. The piece urges Silver Bow to be heard amid competing opinions from the Dakota newspaper.
