Ranchman John Bray Injured in Auto Crash Near Lima
John Bray a Centennial valley ranchman sustained head lacerations and body bruises when his truck left the highway near Lima and overturned in a gravel pit three miles north of the city. Rescued by motorists he was treated in Lima and released from Barrett hospital the following Sunday.

Charity Ball Was a Grand Success
A large crowd gathered at Dillmont park for the annual Charity ball hosted by Dillon Lodge No. 1554 B. P. O. E. The hall was crowded, music came from Baxter and Bachelor Club orchestras and Frisco's dance band. About $250 cash will go to the Dillonbrary and food worth $38 goes to the training school.

Early wool sales bring high prices in Beaverhead and Madison
Walter Foster of this city representing Silberman & Sons of Chicago contracted for large wool clips in Beaverhead and Madison counties at prices above last season. He bought the 1937 clip of Gleed Bros. at Lima for 33 1 3 cents, the Berg Christensen clip for 32 1/2 cents and the Otto Schultz wool for 32 1/2 cents along with several other local clips at the same rate.

Rancher Robert Woody Convicted in DUI Case
Robert Woody, a Big Hole basin rancher, was found guilty in a jury trial before Judge Louis Stahl last Friday afternoon. He was fined 425 dollars on two charges of driving and being in control of a vehicle while under the influence of liquor. An appeal was indicated as possible.

Fire Insurance Rates Decreased in Dillon
A letter from the Board of Fire Underwriters of the Pacific at Butte informs Dillon residents of lower fire insurance rates effective August 15. Dwelling policies drop 10 percent, brick mercantile 12 percent, mercantile contents 8 percent, and frame mercantile 17 percent. Overall savings estimated at about $3,000 annually will cover the cost of the new fire truck within two years.
