Red Cross Drive Opens in Beaverhead County
Beaverhead county launches its annual Red Cross roll call with Dr. W H Stephan as drive chairman. The Dillon and county canvass began Saturday and runs through Thanksgiving unless completed sooner. At Dillon five booths operated and many firms are already 100 percent enrolled, with goals to surpass last year’s 900 members and reach 1 000.

Dies Suddenly at Home Beaverhead Rancher M Lauterbach
Michael Lauterbach a 63 year old Beaverhead valley rancher died of a heart attack at his ranch home north of Dillon early Thursday. A German born immigrant, he arrived in Dillon soon after 17 and spent 41 years on his present place. He helped organize the Beaverhead Valley Rural Electrification association and served as its first chairman. Survived by wife Margaret two sons Adolph of Nampa Idaho George and Eddie Heikkila of Dillon a brother Max Lauterbach of Santa Ana California and several nieces and nephews Funeral services were held last Saturday at the Brundage chapel.

Elk meat fine in Lima court for Yellowstone herd elk
Ward Wright paid a two hundred dollar fine for possessing elk meat claimed to come from an animal killed north and east of Lima. Game warden Charley Price arrested him and he was arraigned in Judge Ford's Lima court. The elk carried tag 471 and purportedly originated from Yellowstone park herd transplanted to the county last winter by Beaverhead Sportsmen's association. Friday at 11 a m Price auctioned the elk at the freight warehouse.

Oil tanker plunges off main highway near Kidd town

Armistice Day Address Urges Strong Defense As World Peace Sustains
Rev. John F. Como of Anaconda denounced the Munich conference as a major defeat for democracies and urged the U S to build Navy and Army to guard democracy. Albert Jasper Edman 56 of Lima died Sunday night at his home. He was born November 4 1883 in Cedar Rapids Iowa and was a carpenter.
