Degenerate Man Sentenced for Crime Against Nature

Elk Hunters Ira Wagner and Joe Foss Return from Red Canyon Trip
Ira Wagner and Joe Foss returned Monday from a hunting trip in Red canyon Madison county. Each took an elk one cow and one four year old bull. On the return trip they burnt out the bearings of their car on the Virginia City hill and had to carry their load up a long hill except for the elk.

Beaverhead Rancher Alvin DeWitt Dies After Brief Illness
Alvin DeWitt 70 a prominent rancher in southern Beaverhead County died at Barrett hospital Thursday morning after a short illness. Born May 10 1857 in Redding Iowa he came west as a young man and settled at Bedrock before ranching in the county. Surviving relatives include a niece in Arco Idaho and a sister in Hatfield Missouri. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Community resident Frank Hartzell dies at Barrett hospital
Frank Hartzell, a long time city resident since 1909 and former Butte hotel clerk, died Monday evening at Barrett hospital after a five week illness. Born October 8 1865 in Berlin Center Ohio he moved to Montana as a young man and spent years in Butte and here. He was night clerk at the Andrus hotel for two years and a charter member of the Butte lodge of Elks. Survived by two brothers in the east funeral plans not announced. He was known for a quiet reserved disposition and earned broad respect.
