Stag Mixer at City Hall Proves Big Success
A stag mixer held Thursday evening at the city hall firemen's headquarters drew many Dillon residents and local ranchmen. Edward Saunders R K Nedrow and Paul Stahl organized the event and guests enjoyed cards conversation and refreshments. Brief campaign talks were made by candidates for public office.

Veterans Plan Armistice Day Observance in Dillon
The American Legion and Auxiliary schedule Armistice Day events in Dillon led by Conrad O. Orr at Hartwig theatre 10 30 a m. Beaverhead high band plays and choir sings. A 2 p m football game at the county fair grounds follows. Banquets at 7 p m and 9 p m conclude the day with a wartime canteen and a dugout headquarters for veterans.

Miss W. M. Iams reports Montana ranked first among 17 northwest states and fifth nationally with 30,069 Red Cross registrations last year. A weekend storm dropped about three inches of snow across the section and pushed temperatures to six below at Normal College. Cars and water pipes froze as autumn warmth vanished, while ranchers and hunters reported two deer brought in Sunday. A Chinook Tuesday warmed conditions enough to boost voter turnout to record levels.

UW Freshman Harold Wheat Joins Varsity Debate Team
