In Beaverhead county a light vote was cast in the presidential preference primary on Tuesday afternoon. A partial tally from 22 precincts shows Coolidge with 264 votes and McAdoo with 157, with no farm labor or socialist ballots reported. Voters deem the election a waste of money and time.

Memorial Day Observances Planned by Legion in Dillon
The American Legion will lead Memorial Day activities in Dillon with a parade at 10 a.m. from City Hall, led by the Dillon Fire Department Band, plus speeches patriotic numbers at the depot lawn or City Hall, and memorial rites at Mountain View cemetery. Veterans, Boy Scouts, and students will participate. Linden McCullough speaks, followed by community singing. If rain forces change, events move to City Hall.

Examinations Reopened for Dillon Postmaster

Dillon Officers Arrest Convicts After All Night Man Hunt
Sheriff Mooney and Undersheriff Kellum captured convicts C. C. Mercer and George Palmer near Bedrock reservoir after an all night search. Deputy L. B. Wakefield was attacked during the pursuit and later aided in the recapture. Warden Potter and guards then retrieved the prisoners and rewarded the Dillon officers $200.

The Parent Teachers Club was organized with a constitution and by laws at the last meeting. Officers elected for the year include Mrs H H Bates president Mrs J B Somers vice president Mrs F Waldorf secretary Miss White treasurer and Mrs J Collins press reporter. The club evolved from the Kindergarten Mothers Club of 1920 and the Primary Parent Teachers Association of 1922 with aims to include intermediate and grammar grades.
