A mass meeting in Dillon, led by Mayor B E White, organized an executive and finance committee for the Fourth of July celebration. More than half the funds were raised in two hours as business leaders pledged support for a first class program with new attractions to draw visitors. The committees will appoint sub-committees and finalize the day’s plan for publication in the next issue.

Break-in at Scenic Theatre Ends Briefly as Thieves Flee
Unknown perpetrators broke a rear window pane at the Scenic theatre Wednesday night and pried open a door using the window cover. They left without stealing items, but had placed a picture machine two films a phonograph and tools on the stage. Mud tracks behind the building suggest two youths or small men were involved.
Too Big a Load Wounds Sheepherder With Exploding Musket
A Beaverhead Ranch herder on the Sweetwater was injured when he loaded gunpowder into an old musket using a beer bottle, paper and water and the weapon exploded. The stock and part of the barrel were left, and a fragment damaged his ear and thumb. name of the man not learned.

W H Geistfield of Commercial Creamery Company Idaho Falls Idaho visited Dillon late last week to arrange shipping cream to Idaho Falls. He said the company intends to buy cream from this valley, develop the business, and possibly purchase and operate the Dillon creamery if the venture grows.
