Dillon Prepares for a Grand Fourth of July Celebration
A mass meeting in Dillon led by Mayor White decided to observe the Fourth with unprecedented festivities. Plans include a Manila Bay battle pageant, a large parade with floats, Indian war dances from Lemhi, numerous sports, a Dillon theater ball, fireworks, and extensive decorations. Andrus Bound Over on Grand Larceny Charge
F M Andrus was bound over on a 500-dollar bond after a Monday preliminary hearing before Justice Virmillion on a grand larceny charge for stealing a steer from Pat Desmond. Five witnesses testified for the prosecution and three for the defense, which did not place its witnesses on the stand. The hearing found probable cause for a district court trial. The Nor mal course closes May 30 with Henry Lawrence Southwick delivering an Evening of Miscellaneous Readings in the Normal Assembly Hall.
