Trio of Dillon men convicted in second degree assault case
The district court heard the cases of Joe Miller Fred Seyde and Ed Burns for allegedly assaulting 72 year old Robert McDowell on main street Dillon in an attempted robbery. Miller received six months for third degree assault after a separate trial. Burns and Seyde were found guilty of second degree assault and sentenced to two and a half years in the state penitentiary.

He noted the smelter, delayed two months due to traction line conditions, and displayed photos showing improved ore bins, coke bins, boarding house, smelter, saw mill, and other facilities. John J. Crazy Sheepherder Found In Idaho Hills
Henry Powers a Woods Livestock sheepherder at Spencer Idaho was found sleeping in sage brush with his flock scattered. He woke confused and crazy after transfer to Dillon and care by Dr Bond. Authorities in Idaho likely plan to send him to Blackfoot insane asylum tonight or tomorrow.

Beaverhead county promoters still push the Bedrock Lake site despite James Glass abandoning the scheme. A Dillon meeting in August approved a low cost plan to store about 130,000 acre feet of water with a $12,000 dam, forming a $125,000 corporation to sell water at $2.50 per acre foot and fund construction.

In a bitter trial Judge Lew Callaway dismissed the district court term. J H Clayton won 7000 damages in a jury verdict over alleged alienation of his wife's affection against Schuler. The court also granted a divorce to Clayton and awarded custody of the son.

Poindexter Remembered as Public Servant in Dillon
Thomas W. Poindexter died in Murray’s hospital Butte after a stomach ulcer and peritonitis operation. Born Feb 1 1864 in Canyon City Oregon he settled in Dillon 1881 and became a leading citizen, state auditor in 1896, mining promoter and stockholder in the Copper Queen mine. Survived by wife Jessie Cattanach, four children, mother, and four brothers. funeral under Masonic rites at Dillon with interment in Poindexter cemetery.

Dillon J. R. Cochran of the American De Forest Wireless Telegraph Co. announces fourteen Montana stations before January 1, 1907 and a large relay station at Helena within thirty days. He will remain in town until June 1 to discuss investment, as stock has jumped 85 percent since March 1 with a further 40 percent expected by June 1.
