The Beaverhead county high school hosts a standout county grade school track and scholastic meet in Dillon with 125 pupils and teachers. Wisdom led with 69 points, Lima 61, Nelson 53. ten schools competed in scholastic and track events. Ray McAninch of Nelson led individuals with three firsts and a second, ahead of John Runer of Wisdom in a tight race.

New Grandstand to Be Built at Fair Grounds
A new grandstand will be constructed this summer at the fair grounds to be ready for the county fair in September. George Dart announces approval, with H. E. Andrus, George FE Baker, and George Opp as committee, W. T. Morrison in charge of tearing down old structures. Lumber from the old buildings will be reused, the bleachers kept in use, and bids for the new addition will be called soon with work to start in June.

Streams in county added to closed fishing season
At the state game and fish commission annual meeting changes were made closing certain streams in Beaverhead Madison and other areas to fishing during various periods. Ted Renfro world trapshooting champion returns home near Dell after sweeping 19 major titles in Europe as part of the American team. He inspires no ceremony yet plans for a Dillon shoot and banquet May 24 with shooters from Sheridan, Butte, Anaconda, and more. A new automatic trap debuted at the fair grounds with a successful tryout as 12,500 clay birds were dispatched.

North Dakota and Minnesota live stock feeders and bankers plan a five day 2100 mile Montana tour in mid June. Led by John W. Haw the trip aims to inspect cattle and sheep herds and discuss ranching issues with Montana producers. The tour runs June 16 to 20 with rail travel 1500 miles in a special Pullman car and 600 miles by auto.

Drive On For Boy Scout Funds In Dillon
The Dillon Scout Finance Committee urged renewed support for the Boy Scout fund. Last year donations expanded scouting from 31 to 61 boys across three troops and improved youth fitness and citizenship.
