The Graeter gold dredge at Bannack, idle for years, will be put into operation again once repairs are completed. F. B. Felt of Chicago bought the dredge from A. F. Graeter and partners, shipping casting repairs from Dillon to Anaconda for reassembly. Felt plans to work the leased Bannack ground to Graves and strike richer deposits while paying royalties to landowners.

Con Dixon Bill Passes House Move Toward Bedrock Reservoir
Gov. B. F. White returned from Washington with support for H. R. 16554 to reclaim arid Montana lands under the Carey act. The Bedrock Lake Reservoir site near Beaverhead and Madison counties would flood about 12 000 acres to irrigate 60 000 to 100 000 acres, with 4 775.82 acres of indemnity school lands involved at a minimum price of 10 per acre. The bill now goes to the Senate for final passage.
