A newly organized Municipal League of Dillon met at City Hall last Friday. Officers include President J. E. Morse and Vice Presidents Fidel Huber and Dr. R. R. Rathbone, with Thomas Taylor as Treasurer and C. W. Robison as Secretary. An executive committee will be named. a constitution and platform set aims to engage taxpayers in city governance, promote cleaner streets, support honest officials, and secure competent leadership. A meeting of Beaverhead County qualified voters is set for tomorrow evening at the Dillon court house to nominate three candidates for the High School board of trustees. Incumbents J. W. Scott George B Conway and George R Featherly seek reelection as the terms of all three trustees expire. Resignation of Beaverhead High Science Teacher Potter
Professor H E Potter of Beaverhead county high school resigns to leave Dillon around the first of next month. He will enter Rush Medical University in Chicago after two years of study there. Bedrock irrigation project gains favorable land office report
Washington March 20 a favorable report by Commissioner Richards of the land office was sent to the house committee on public land. It approves the plan that the state may select other public lands to replace those flooded by a new storage reservoir. The Dixon bill hearing was postponed and ex Governor White of Dillon departed for Chicago. The committee is expected to act favorably.

Death by Drowning in Dillon Lodging Case Stirs Town

Charles H Albee long a popular Beaverhead county surveyor died in Hot Springs Arkansas from a brain tumor. A Deer Lodge native educated at College of Montana he worked as civil engineer for 13 years and last surveyed for the government on the Flathead reservation. He was 30 or 31 and leaves parents F H Albee and siblings in Deer Lodge with wide community sympathy.

Late Butte Passenger Train Delayed By Locomotive Breakdown
The southbound Butte passenger train, due at 7 28 p m, arrived in Dillon about midnight after breaking down on Feely hill. The eccentric on the locomotive malfunctioned disabling it and the train reportedly broke in two at least once, rupturing air couplings. A helper locomotive from Melrose aided the rescue.
