Counterfeit arrests at Bannack prompt federal action
Under Sheriff Moore and Deputy Sheriff Will Tash arrested James Jaggers and W O Gordon at Bannack after a months-long investigation into bogus money. U S Marshal Wall and U S Attorney Rodgers joined the case. Gordon faces larceny charges and possible Idaho robbery ties, with bonds set as high as 2500 dollars. The coins were pewter and light, and several spurious dollars circulated locally.

The Dillon Dramatic company presented Fame at the Dillon theater on Wednesday night to a appreciative crowd. Leading actress Miss Lucy R Grannis drew applause for her role as Dryden Rolles with strong support from W H Cochran Eugene Poindexter and others. The troupe plans to revive The Scrap of Paper as a future benefit and will donate proceeds to local causes.
