Gamblers Convicted in Mild Penalties for Robbery Incident
Acting Prosecuting Attorney Melton secured conviction of three gamblers who received 25 fine and ten days in jail each for poker and robbery of Chas Heaton at a cabin in Missouri town. Jury verdict delivered by Justice Vermillion with Judge Melton prosecuting for the state. The defendants were Cherokee Jack John Burrough James Yeo and Sherman Sapp with John Bourse sought but absent. Bail set at $200 cash.

G eight Samsel arrived in Dillon and leased the Pickman brick from Fyhrie Grocery Co. He will return in a few weeks to start business. Samsel is with The Golden Operating stores operating in six states and owns part in 23 shops. The group meets twice yearly in New York to bid prices down. The new store will be The Golden Rule Store.
