Dillon Residents Fear Earthquake Night Toll
Dillon residents and surrounding area watched the California quake unfold with relatives in the danger zone. Officials reported the disaster may cost about 15 million dollars with around 150 deaths and over 800 injuries. More than 200 tremors were recorded, 26 major shocks, felt into early Monday. Local families, including the Hartwigs and Black, reported safety after initial fears.

Senator Walsh Buried in Helena After State Funeral
The body of Montana senator Thomas J. Walsh arrived in Helena at 7 AM and was taken to the capitol before services at St. Helena Cathedral. A solemn Requiem Mass was led by Rev. Idwin V. O'Hara of Great Falls. Interment followed at Resurrection Cemetery.
