Apex Notes: Local Visits and Outings

Mrs. Matt Polish visited Dillon last week while Mrs. Mary Holland came up from Dillon on Tuesday. Tom Jollie and Frank Scellick spent Sunday with their families in Apex. Mrs. L. Bryan came from Butte Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Noa Allen were in Melrose Monday. Otto Christinson and Carl Borgaes motored to Dillon Saturday. Mrs. McLean and Angus McLean with Frank Bryan joined five hundred guests at a Dillon trip. Chas. Bennington came from Melrose Tuesday evening. Mr. Dutch of Melrose visited the Allen ranch Wednesday. Charlie Walkerstine rode to Dillon Wednesday.

Death of James McLean is noted in local obituary

Vincent McLean was summoned to Butte by the death of his father James McLean, a 77 year old ranch owner. He leaves a wife three sons and a daughter. The community offers sympathy. Other notes include visits by Stephen Kambich Sr Peter Spritzer trips to Melrose county seat and trips by Rev T Clifford and Frank Modilar from Camp Lewis.

Mrs. G R Willson hosted the Episcopal guild social at Mill street with needlework planned for Lent. Normal College Seniors Host March Events for Dr Finch

On March 8 Dr. Finch hosted a gym party for Normal College seniors with games dancing and a decorated lunch in the cafeteria. March 9 the seniors gave a dinner in his honor at the dormitory and presented a leather writing case. The glee club program followed convocation on March 12.

Stone Creek News Highlights Local Celebrations

Charles Rei returns from Camp Lewis. George Lasich son honored at surprise dinner after France service. A Stone Creek dance is planned for March 21. O D O club hosted an oyster supper and card dancing at the schoolhouse. Ralph Martin and bride from Washington honeymooned at A J Foust's. a rocking chair was presented. Charlie Rei to visit Kansas parents after here.

Beaverhead Anglers Club Organized in Beaverhead County

Local fishermen formed the Beaverhead Anglers Club to restock county streams with trout fry and spawn. Elected officers include Louis Anderson president E L Burles vice president and C T Magnus secretary treasurer. Membership is $1 yearly with about fifty subscribers already and over three hundred expected. Applications were made to state fish commission Helena and Bozeman hatcheries for rainbow and native trout fry to plant this season.

Third Lyceum Number on Thursday Evening

A Lyceum event titled Third Lyceum Number takes place Thursday evening with admission set at 75 cents. The notice highlights a community cultural program featuring local speakers and performances.
