Mrs. Sidney Douglas Hooker wife of the Dillon archdeacon died Sunday evening in Helena after a long illness. Born Mary Russell Perkins in Hartford she connected Dillon’s early history through St James Church and the town library. Her charitable work and hospitality at St James Rectory earned lasting community respect.

Body Shipped East From Dillon For Miss Della Ayres
The body of 28 year old Miss Della Ayres who died at Curtis hospital from pneumonia was shipped to Vandalia Michigan her former home. She had lived near Dillon for about three years and once worked as an assistant in Mrs Hart's millinery shop. Her father and mother who lived on a dry land farm east of Dillon died about two years ago and their remains were sent to Michigan.
