Income Tax Measure Killed In Montana Legislature
After a prolonged session the Seventeenth Montana legislature adjourned with the income tax bill failing in the senate and a broad set of revenue and reapportionment measures awaiting the governor. Governor Dixon called an extraordinary session to gain a full revenue program including a new inheritance tax, cement tax, and county reapportionment changes.
